We were about 7 days into our boondocking digs when it happened! We were greeted with the stuffy noises, the coughs, the phlegm, the body aches, the fever etc. all while in the middle of enjoying the quiet, peaceful spot in the desert with NO ONE around! 🙁
Here we are – all crammed into our new spot.
Not entirely sure were this crud came from but it sure hit hard. Our tanks were nearly full and we were running out of fresh water. Managing tanks when you’re sick isn’t something we enjoy too much.
(I don’t know about you but I want a long, hot shower when I’m feeling lousy… and that just wasn’t going to happen without hookups)
We stopped in an RV park we kept hearing about (boondockers dump there frequently) to see if they had availability – it’s their prime time right now but we were hopeful. We were able to score a week, even possibly a month (
) – full hook-ups and a laundromat here we come! Oh! And did I mention? Electric IS included! $190/week or $450/month! Works for us!! 😀 Pilot Knob RV Resort
We had to pack up when we got back (it was late in the afternoon so we had a few hours of daylight left). Everything was out and needed to be put back. It is such a pain in the a$$ to have to pack up when you’re sick. But we managed to do it WITH daylight left. No setting up in the dark!!!
